Wonderful holiday

in the end of april/ beginning of may 2017 we have been on holiday in the Gambia with our family. We had a very nice time with Burama and his driver Lamin.

Burama is a fantastic birdguide. He hears and sees every bird and knows to name it. Amazing. Thereby he took us to several interesting places and showed us the Gambian daily life.

Besides an excellent birdguide Burama is a very friendly and nice person to be with.

Amazing weeks.

In april i stay with friends for 2 weeks in the Gambia to visit our friends of the projekts in Aljamdu on the North Bank. We also made a roundtrip with Burama Keita, the best birdguide of the Gambia and Sheriff Jamanka, the best driver of the Gambia. We had a amazing trip with many, many birds and we saw the big five: 2 hippos in the surrounding of Georgetown during a boattrip, a cobra very close at the riverbank, 40 dolfins playing around our boat in Tendaba, a warthhog on the birth Island of Burama and a fishotter at Abca's Creek. Offcourse everything discovered by Burama. So if you want a guide with eagle eyes, Burama is your man.

a special trip

In april 2016 we made a wonderful trip in the Gambia.

Our guide, of course Burama Keita, brought us to nice areas with a lot of birds. Burama knows every bird by name and he is also a specialist in bird sounds. Last but not least he has the eyes of a hawk eagle. Incredible.

He is nice, attentive for the group and very humorous .

Burama takes care of the telescope and is very handy with it and he helps you to make the best pictures.

In a word super. With Burama you are assured of a pleasant journey with a lot of birds. We look forward to our next trip (the sixth time) with Burama.

A great find - must book

I found Burama Keita via Twitter a few days before heading to the Gambia. Arrangements we all made in advance and Burama duly met me at the agreed time for a great session of birding. Burama is a young guide but has a great knowledge of birds and nature, He was able to find me exactly what I wanted to see and many more species. When I head back to the Gambia I will be looking him up again for sure.

If you don't want to stay at your hotel or on the beach all your vacation, and if you want to see more of the Gambia, the best advise is to hire a guide. I got in contact with Burama, a very friendly and reliable guy, and above all a fantastic birding guide. I went with my wife and sister-in-law who are no birders, so he suggested to have a 'social trip' with the family and a birding trip with me alone. On our social trip we first visited the large local market of Lamin where we bought fish and vegetables. This is a great experience and shows you a lot of the Gambian daily life, their food, etc. Then we visited the house of his uncle in Kerewan where his aunt prepared a delicious meal. With his family we ate and talked in the shadow under a large mango tree. The day after we went for the real birding experience. It's amazing how Burama manages to find so many different birds and tell you their names. You will never be able to do so on your own. His knowledge about the nature is fantastic. Not only the birds but also the other wildlife, trees, flowers. If I visit Gambia again (I hope so next year) I will definitely contact Burama again.

great guide

I had the pleasure to spend several hours in the company of Burama. I found him to be very experienced in the sight and sounds of birds. He is a very polite individual and I would recommend him as a guide.

nature in the pocket

Burama was our guide for two days. Three months ago he also showed us his beautiful country with all the differences and the BIRDS!!!! And now again!

It is amazing that he knows a lot of species. I suggest him to learn the names of birds in the dutch language so for the people of the Netherlands can search for them easy. If you are looking for a guide to the birds ask for Burama. He also knows how to travel.

Burama Keita is a really good bird guide. He knows almost every bird that is passing and other animals too.

Burama is also a social person, he will make you laugh and a conversation is also possible.

Make sure you have this man as your guide, he's a good one

Burama Keita is a very smart boy.

He knows everything about anything with nature.

He is also a very good friend and person.

He can makes you laugh but also learns you a lot.

He knows the places where you can find the birds you want to see.

So if you make a trip to the Gambia make sure you will have this guy as your guide!
